Students enjoyed the holiday season making their own Christmas ornaments at the final ELC event of Fall, 2013. During the Christmas Ornament Workshop, teachers Marie Webb and Kerry Pusey helped students make 3 kinds of Christmas ornaments. The first ornament was a snowman made out of Styrofoam and other decorative materials. The snowman ornaments were definitely the most popular and some students even made 2-3 of them. The second ornament was a cut-out 3D star in which students decorated their star with glitter. And finally, the third ornament was a popsicle stick snowflake.
All of the ornaments were easy to make and best of all, cheap. Students learned that the season of Christmas is celebrated in many ways in America and Christmas ornament making is just one of them.
